The economy is humming along and unemployment is now down below 6%. The stock market is at an all time high and the housing market has rebounded. There's always some reason to find an excuse, but the fact that the economy sucks is no longer one of them.
There are countless blogs of people who race towards retirement at very young ages and do it within 10-20 years is becoming almost overwhelming. There's a common trend among them all.
1. Save large portions of your income.
2. Invest that money into Exchange Traded Funds and/or Real Estate.
3. Use tax advantaged accounts as much as possible.
There are a few more steps in here, like building an emergency fund and getting your insurance situation right. But regardless you need to start...today!
It's Friday and unless you're 100$ financially perfect you need to get on it. What do you need to do? Save that first $1000? Setup an emergency fund? Setup your employer retirement plan or IRA? Pay down debt?
