Want to travel overseas?? Well now is the time! The American dollar has been on a tear over the last 6 months and it's cheaper than it has been in decades to spend money overseas.
If you want to go to Russia it's now 1/3 of the cost. Europe? It's now 25% cheaper! Australia? Now over 25% cheaper! Pack your bags and leave on a jet plane because this won't last forever.
If you're an investor, you can lock in these great exchange rates and invest overseas also. There are tons of ETFs that do nothing but exchange rates for entire countries and continents. I'm currently looking for non hedged index funds so that I can take advantage of the exchange rate and also the cheap foreign stock prices. The S&P 500 is expensive now, so I'm looking elsewhere!
