As they say, things usually come in waves of three. This also pertains to drying your clothes.
1. You save energy
2. Your clothes last longer (all of that lent is your clothes slowing going away)
3. The dryer lasts longer as well
If line drying your clothes is too hardcore, try a hybrid system. Dry your clothes until they're mostly dry and then put them in the dryer for about 5 mins to finish up the job. This takes care of the thing that I hate most, which is stiff clothes which happens when you line dry clothes. After about 5 mins your clothes will come out dry, wrinkle free, and fresh smelling.
If you live in a sunny and dry climate you'll notice that it actually dries much faster than if they were in the dryer to begin with, thus saving you time.
