"Get it in writing" does not count when it pertains to leases alternations.
Be sure to get both parties to sign the addendum and attach it to the original lease.
Editor: Crass Cash I started my real estate law class this week. The most important thing I learned in the first class was that you need to make sure that any sort of lease change needs to be added as an addendum to the lease. Emails and text messages do not count!
