Note that if the IRS is going to seize your money or audit you they're not going to call you ahead of time. If you get a call like the one in the above article, completely forget it.
The IRS is notorious for just taking people's money directly from their banking accounts. They're not going to give you a warning call to tip you off first. You check your balance one day and it's gone. They've falsely done this a number of times and have been sued over it.
And if you're going to get audited it most likely will happen by mail. In the rare event that you do a face to face audit, it won't be from a prerecorded tape, you'll probably receive an actual call from the agent to setup a time to meet.
