Clothes make the man. Not in my opinion, but yeah I get it. I'll be the first to tell you that a $100 suit and a $500 is noticeable. And I don't give a shit about clothes! With that said there's nothing wrong with paying for something of quality. Warren Buffett, who buys $2,000 suits, jokes that his suits aren't cheap he just makes them look that way.
With that said, he's famous for saying, "I'd rather buy a great company at a reasonable price, than a reasonable company at a great price." I think this should apply to suits as well. Buy a great suit at a reasonable price, but never buy a shit suit regardless of the price. There's a much bigger difference between a $100 and a $200 suit than there is between a $200 suit and a $2,000. But I'm sure that people who wear a $2,000 suit would disagree with me.
