It's not official yet, but most likely two changes to the 529 college savings plan would that...
1. You will eventually be able to make tax free distributions for the purchase of a computer. (Duh!)
2. Taxes and penalties would be waived if a student had to withdraw from school due to illness. However, the refunded tuition would need to be put back into the 529 account within 60 days.
